Looks like a Canada goose--do they fly to Europe? (We now have resident Canada geese, who have forgotten that they are supposed to migrate. They are quite a nuisance.)
@ danudin: I love watching and listening to the birds and, of course, taking pictures. In the meantime I know places, where to go. The shot of the goose was taken at a lake about 30 kilometers from where I live.
@ BobbieCoughlin: It looks like a Canadian goose and it is a Canadian goose. Since quite a time this kind of geese has become rather familiar in our country ... and sometimes is a nuisance.
Looks lonely but I like how it also fits with the title of your blog - "looking around".
AntwortenLöschenDoes seeing that give you the urge to travel Tony?
AntwortenLöschenNice capture of the Canadian goose.

Beautiful composition and portrait of the goose when it maybe isn't causing trouble by putting deposits on walkways!
